Dard Hunter (1883-1966) was born in Ohio at the height of the Industrial Revolution and would go on to become a renowned contributor to the American Arts & Crafts movement.

Spending time in London, Vienna, and the Roycroft Studios in East Aurora, NY, Dard Hunter was a prominent figure in early 20th century graphic design.

Dard Hunter devoted his life to the art of papermaking both in research and practice, eventually writing numerous books on the subject.
